Although the 2016 Presidential Election has come and gone, life still goes on in the commonwealth and there is still a lot of work to be done. Our General Assembly has a serious case of misplaced priorities - much of our current leadership in Richmond would rather legislate to score points with an ideological base than actually improve the lives of working Virginians.

But things don't have to stay that way.

I’m running for the House of Delegates next year to ensure that working Virginians aren’t held back anymore by those misplaced priorities. I want to build the kind of government that works for everyone, not just the 1% and corporate interests.

As your delegate, I will bring progress to our criminal justice system by re-orienting it toward rehabilitation and redemption instead of just incarceration and punishment.

As your delegate, I will bring progress to our education system by working with educators to open up paths to vocational careers – mechanics, plumbers, and others – instead of railroading them into test-taking and student loan debt.

As your delegate, I will pursue multi-modal solutions to our mass transit issues here in Northern Virginia – light rail, bus rapid transit, biking, just to name a few – instead of simply focusing on enlarging highways and building more pavement.

As your delegate, I will actually fight to bring progress to the lives of working Virginians instead of simply scoring ideology points with voters.

Let's make 2017 the year of progress together,

Ken Boddye
Democratic Candidate for Delegate
Virginia's 51st House District
